Groovy. Silky. Slow flow and fine.
The Beatmakers is back with all of the chill, movement and pulse of the original feature. We’re waist deep in some serious stuff here. From complex, future sounds that will definitely have you questioning your musical tastes to molasses slow flow that’s as sweet as it is rich and textured. Dive in, touch bottom, resurface, repeat.
London-via-Tehran, Ash Koosha (Ashkan Kooshanejad) creates music with a classical backbone and kaleidoscope skin. Challenging. Forever intriguing. Songs from a not-so-distant future, Ash Koosha is adding to a foundation of future sounds.
Endlessly chill, flow like no other, warmth and easy drift, milo makes beats and rhymes that can rival the best of them. His music sounds authentic. It’s fly as hell. Digestible and so delicious, this track, from milo’s 2015 release, So the Flies Don’t Come, is fully calm and completely focused.
The title of the cut says it all. This IS the definition of flow. Smooth but complex, smart and ear-burstingly big, A-F-R-O belongs on this list like no other. Feelin’ so groovy, just oozing with confidence and swagger.
Groovy. Silky. Slow flow and fine. NoMBe is the perfect pairing to a night in with your lady or man. Perhaps an addition to your latest sex tape or a great accompaniment to a chillout playlist. “California Girls”, the first single from NoMBe’s newest EP, Mood Indigo, rolls along like a thick milkshake of sweaty passion and pride.
Keeping this chill vibe we’ve got going here, this may be one of my favourite discoveries from last year. GoGo Penguin oozes talent. I’m not even sure I can put to words the joy I get from this track. It’s like it’s got its fingers directly on my pulse and its sounds speak directly to my soul. Uplifting and soothing, almost funky, GoGo Penguin has become a permanent fixture on my music playlists.
